Afternoon Round Up & Update

March 19, 2009

So far after getting back from UNC and being sent this photo, from someone who probably thought it was hillarious to send out. I am still trying to find what is funny since I am at a WTB here

I did the video in between trying to find info on what is going on with the whole VA issue since it will have an impact if it goes forward. In the meantime trying to fight for the 3818.00 to pay back rent. Oh and just to read this today:

Thirteen of the companies receiving billions in federal bailout money owe a total of more than $220 million in delinquent federal taxes.

That’s the word from the chairman of a House subcommittee overseeing the federal bailout of financial firms. Rep. John Lewis of Georgia said Thursday that two of the companies owe more than $100 million apiece. In his prepared remarks, Lewis says that the House Ways and Means subcommittee on oversight discovered the delinquent taxes in a review of records from the IRS.

The revelation is sure to spark outrage on Capitol Hill, where the House is expected to vote Thursday on a bill that would impose steep taxes on employee bonuses at firms that have received bailout money.

Amazing.  Simply amazing. I am trying to get back my $3, 818.00 taxes  just to pay my back rent, which is probably pocket change to these people and these companies owe millions in back taxes and STILL get bailed out? How is this possible?  Plus, this private insurance narrative have people in a cold sweat right about now.  I can’t even believe it would of ever been a option.  Well, I will dwell on that later. I got more stuff I need to get accomplished before my medicine kicks in.
