Anatomy of a Smear

March 21, 2009

Here we go again.  Citizens United and there “movie” on the  Secretary of State is at the Supreme Court.  I won’t link to  that garbage.  It would of been laughable if they didn’t honestly believe it.  I sure would like to know who the individuals were that paid for it.  I thought it was a joke when I read how it stated she was not ready to be President and that she was a *socialist*.  I looked for the punchline and did not see it.  However, I will remark on the other article by the Associated Press that discuss all of the changes happening at the State Department:

WASHINGTON – Her videos aren’t quite viral yet and she’s not tweeting, but Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is embracing new media, using the Web to promote the agency and her role as the nation’s top envoy.

I am sorry they feel as if she is not moving fast enough for them but some people work. The concept may sound foreign to them. I really hope the other article in regards to that *movie* is not picked up by  the *drive by* media.   Then again they may not have received the video of me stating that kind of thing was coming to a end.  I guess I will be doing another one.

Also, Politico reported that she was awarded the “Global Trailblazer” Award :

Politics may divide, but women stick together.

Partisanship was tossed aside Thursday night at the 2009 Global Leadership Awards, held at the Kennedy Center, and honoring women leaders including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was there to accept her award.

The ceremony was put on by Vital Voices Global Partnership, an international organization promoting women in leadership, and saw such notables on stage as Ben Affleck, Sally Fields, Maria Bello, Candice Bergen, Diane von Furstenberg, Nicholas Kristof and Maggie Grace.

Clinton was there to accept the organization’s “Global Trailblazer” award for “her passionate commitment to promoting women’s rights and securing justice for all people around the world.” The award was presented to her by a former political opponent during Clinton’s time in the U.S. Senate, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Tex.).
